The Fallen: Part 1 The Arrival
Angeteen
Disclaimer: I don't own one red cent of ANYTHING that’s
even related to Digimon. The only thing that I do own is this lemon, and the
characters Jay (because I am using self insertion and that just happens to be
my nickname), and Angeteen (my partner). Also, please be sure to realize that
this is adult material, and that if your either to young or you simply don't
like this kind of stuff, please leave. As for all else, continue.
The setting was in Japan, at night. It would have been
just like any other night, but this time it would be different. Tonight was
when a new visitor would unexpectedly appear. However, this new visitor
wouldn't be just your average run-of-the-mill digimon bent on raising havoc.
Tonight, there would be something new. Something neither this world nor the
digiworld had ever seen. That thing would be me.
***
"Hurry up Renamon!" Ruki shouted at her
partner. Renamon, only a few feet behind her, lithely jumped from tree to tree
as they made their way to where the next digimon should appear. Looking ahead,
Ruki saw that the familiar pink clouds were just in front of an old graveyard.
Running to it, she reached into her pocket, pulled out
her glasses, and slid them onto her face. After plunging deep into the heart of
the clouds, she removed the glasses from her face and placed them back in her
pockets.
After looking at the digimon, she noticed two things. The
first, it was to busy checking out its surroundings to notice their arrival,
and second, it looked surprisingly like a regular teenager. In fact, every
detail was so exact, that it could walk out in broad daylight without causing a
commotion.
Its face was that of someone who took things seriously,
yet at times, a smile or a casual joke was never far from its lips. It wore a
pair of faded jeans and a plain, red shirt. On its foot it wore what looked
like a pair of sneakers.
Reaching into her pocket, she pulled out her digivise and
pointed it at the digimon. The digivise flashed for a moment, but no picture or
even a description appeared. "An unregistered digimon?" she said,
raising an eyebrow. "This is indeed something new."
Stepping beside her partner, Renamon looked over at her
and asked, "should I fight it." Ruki thought for a moment. At last
she said "yes. That would be a good idea." "As you wish"
Renamon said before sneaking up on the strange digimon.
As she made her way to him, he stood still and erect,
still not sensing her presence. From what she could tell, he was to busy trying
to see if there was anything past the fog. Smiling to herself, she couldn't
believe her luck.
Jumping up into the air, she shouted "Diamond
Storm!" The digimon, before it knew what was happing, was pelted with
Renamon's attack. Its body immediately dropped like a stone onto to the ground.
Groaning slightly, it placed a hand on the back of its head, as a trail of
blood flowed from its fingers.
Removing its hand, it placed it on the ground, and made
an attempt at standing up. Still seeing stars after the attack, it turned
around to face Renamon. The first reaction it had was shock. Opening its mouth,
it said something in a language that neither Ruki nor Renamon could understand.
Whatever language it was, it was definitely surprised at
the recent attack. Pointing a finger at Renamon, it screamed something at her.
Renamon, having no idea what it was, obviously took it as a threat. Jumping
back into the air, she readied herself for another attack.
The digimon, not liking what had happened last time,
clutched its right hand into a tight fist. After squeezing it for a moment,
Renamon began to notice that her fur was starting to stand up slightly. Before
she knew what was happening, the digimon suddenly opened its hand and thrust it
at her like a spear.
What came next took her completely by surprise. From his
hand, a bolt of pure electricity shot out of it and slammed against her body in
way that was in a way less than desirable. Kneeling over from the impact, she
dropped back onto the ground, and shuddered in pain.
She knew already that this digimon was indeed a strong
one. Just that one attack was enough to knock the air clear out of her. Raising
her head, she saw that the digimon was for some odd reason just looking at her.
No, it wasn't just a look...it was a stare. It wasn't just the stare alone; it
was something else about it. It was as if it was looking right through her,
right into her very soul.
A slight headache overtook her. Closing her eyes, she
shook her head, trying to clear it. Still looking at her, the digimon spoke
again, but this time in Japanese. What it spoke was just one word, but that
single word contained a lot of force behind it. "Surrender" it, said.
"I wouldn't count on it,” she said, rising to her
feet. The digimon just smiled. "You...sure?" it said slowly, as if
was having trouble trying to pronounce its words. "I...will...win.
Surrender...now...while...possible." A trace of mirth appeared on
Renamon's lips.
"Having trouble with the language are we?" she
said, somehow thinking of Guilmon. The digimon was quiet for a moment,
obviously trying to decipher what she had just said. At last it said
"I...no...fight. Seek...peace." This made Renamon's smile immediately
vanish. "How can I believe you?"
"You...still...alive" it said.
"I...change...if...wanted." While not liking the obvious threat of
this unknown digimon, she still decided to play its game until she could find
out more about it. "Alright" she said, "I will trust you...but
only moderately."
The digimon, while acting indifferent, was however
pleased with the results. Stepping forward, it walked past Renamon, and headed
straight to Ruki." Walking up to her, he kneeled in front of her. Looking
into her eyes, he said, "look...into...eyes."
Ruki, not knowing what else to do, did as he said. When
she did, she was surprised at what she saw. His eye focus was no on her, but
was instead focused onto the pupils of her own eyes. As she looked at him she
saw that his gaze was so intense that it was almost eerie.
In fact, she noticed that all of this staring was
beginning to give her a headache. As she was about to break the eye contact,
the digimon said in a voice that was both much clearer and no longer had any
trouble pronouncing its words "don't. Let me finish."
Not knowing what it was talking about, Ruki nonetheless
decided to do as it commanded. After several more moments of staring, he turned
his gaze away. Ruki, glad of this because of her developing headache, closed
her eyes and rested them for a moment.
Reopening them, she looked at the digimon and said,
"what kind of digimon are you, and why did you want to stare into my
eyes?" To your first question" he said, "due to reasons of
paronoidism, I refuse to give out my real name. So I will instead give you
another one which you may use. My name is Jay. It is nothing more than a
nickname that others call me, but I go by it more than anything else.”
"Jay..." Ruki murmured. "Strange name. Not
really much I can really say about it. All I have to ask it why doesn't it end
in "mon?" "Why should it?" he asked, confused.
"Because all digimon have their name arranged that way. I just want to
know why yours is different."
After she said this, he gave a half smile and
laughed." "I am no digimon,” he said. "I am human." Ruki
raised her eyebrows. "You’re telling me this when you shot a bolt of
electricity at Renamon? I somehow find it hard to believe."
"Believe what you want,” he said. "All that I'm
telling you is the truth. I am human, or more accurately, half of me is. The
other half is digimon." Finding it hard to believe any of this, Ruki asked
him "what are you talking about?"
Jay just sighed. "It looks like I will have to just
show you in order to prove it. Stand back, because what you will see will be
enough to knock your feet off." Ruki, not sure what to expect, just stood
there, waiting for something to happen.
She didn't have to wait long. In moments, his skin began
to writhe and contort itself into a new shape. The skin on his face moved in
and out of place, taking on an entirely new appearance. As for his body, it
moved outward only slightly as newly developed muscles appeared. From his back,
two, white wings began to quickly emerge from their hiding place.
As the last of the movements stopped, Ruki stared in
amazement at what she saw. What stood before was nothing like what she had
first met. The face of this new identity was a hard, strong, one that looked
out in the world with a grim determination. His clothing was like Jay's, but
with a few changes.
He wore a pair of dirty jeans, and a green shirt that was
lightly tucked into his pants. The shoes he wore were, if anything else, the
kind that was worn by those who were always on the move. Aside from the wings
on his back that towered about a foot above his head, he looked completely
human.
Looking at Ruki, he said in a warm voice "hello,
Ruki. I am pleased to meet you. I am Angeteenagermon, or Angeteen for
short." "How do you know my
name?” she asked, cautious of his nature since she never spoke her name.
"By the same way I know how to speak your language" he said.
"And how’s that?" "You remember when Jay
stared into your eyes?" "Yes." "Well what he did was a type
of mind scan. Now before you get hysterical,” he said, noticing Ruki's alarmed
expression "nothing bad happened. All that did happen was him making a
replica of what you knew and then having it transferred into our mind. That
way, we should be able to communicate more efficiently."
"And why is it that I got a feeling he copied more
than just my language into his mind?" Ruki asked. "Its true that he
did take a few extra tid-bits, but they weren't all that important. Just random
stuff like your name, your digimon's name, and anything else that would be deemed
necessary to know."
"Why is it necessary to know all that extra stuff
about me?" "Because we are going to be together for a while. That is,
until we decide to move on. I'm afraid that we can't stay in one place for an
extended period of time." "Somehow I got a feeling I'm going to here
a bit of personal bio right about now" Ruki said, rolling her eyes.
"I'm afraid your right" Angeteen said.
"You see, we were not always like this. In fact, we were once about as
normal as you yourself are. However, that all changed about two years
ago." "What happened?" Ruki asked.
Angeteen sighed and closed his eyes as if reliving a
terrible past. "He got into writing. At first it was nothing much to worry
about, but as time went on, he become obsessed with it. Every spare moment of
his life was dedicated to dreaming up what would happen next in one of his
stories."
"So he was an obsessed writer?" Ruki said,
unconcerned. "How could that be something important?" "In ways
you will never know" Angeteen said. "You see, he was...different from
other people. As it turns out, after concentration on his writing so much, it
gave his brain a good workout. To good. Unknown to him he was a very strong
telepath."
Ruki's eyes widened. "You mean this guy is
psychic!" she exclaimed. "Yes, and a very good one to. However, as
great as he was, there was only one drawback. As you know, all those who are
blessed with telepathy will use their mind as their main issue of defense,
which means that at times they must be cautious of what they're thinking. So take for example that if in a fit of anger
one of them accidentally hurts someone, they would have nothing to worry about
because no one would be able to know who the true suspect was. However if you’re
the telepath that was responsible, you would always know about it, and if you
had at least a shred of conscience in you would be regretting it always."
"I can guess what happens next,” Ruki said, already
knowing where this was leading up to. "Someone dies." "No,
that’s not it. You see, during his time as a writer, he accidentally made
contact with a digimon. What got him was that he couldn't understand how
something from a kid's show could possibly exist. So he tried to investigate
the matter. To help him remember what he saw, he kept a journal, which he wrote
in daily. To make matters even more interesting, the more he learnt, the more
inspiration he got for writing. In fact, several of his stories was based on
the show Digimon believe it or not."
"And I take it this is where we run into
trouble?" Ruki asked. "Exactly. You see, while writing, one of his
stories had an original digimon character in it. It was nothing more than a
slight reflection of his own self, but not so much that it would be an EXACT
reflection. Well sad to say, he wished for more than anything that what he
created to actually exist. He got his wish, but the results were
devastating."
"What happened?" Angeteen hesitated for a
moment before continuing. "He splinted his mind in half. The first half
was for his regular self and the second half was for his creation, myself, to
exist. Not only did this cause him to develop a second identity, but it also
splinted his soul right down the center, impossible as it sounds."
Ruki stared in horror as she heard this. "You've got
to be kidding me,” she said. "Please tell me this is all just a bad
joke." Angeteen only shook his head. "Its real. It’s as real as you
or I. Fortunately for us, one good thing did happen. You see, since his mind is
now in halves, it is actually possible for one of us to fission off from the
other."
"You mean to walk around in their own body"
Ruki asked. "Exactly" he said. "Fortunately, by luck mostly, our
major organs aren't halved. They remain whole. So when we split, there will be
two sets of heartbeats. When we conjoin, there's only one. Either way, we're
still a strong force whether we're separate or together, but we prefer to
remain together because that is when our power is at its strongest."
Renamon, hearing this part, asked "and how strong would
that be?" "Very" Angeteen said. "We can both defend
ourselves well enough alone, but if the need ever arises, we conjoin and our
power at the least will double. Part of the reason might be because we're
relying on each others special abilities, plus for that amount of time, it's
almost as if we were the original."
"So if Jay was on his own" she said,
"there would have been a good chance that he would have lost?"
"No. It would have been unfair enough that you faced either of us alone.
It would be considered suicide to face us together. You had no chance of
winning."
This immediately silenced Renamon. For a while, there was
a long silence as no one spoke. Finally, unable to take it anymore, Angeteen
morphed back into his previous form. As this process was completed, Jay looked
down at Ruki. "I think its time for us to go,” he said.
"We will meet again, sometime. Until then, watch
yourself." "Where are you going?" she asked him. Turning around,
he began to slowly walk away from her. "To pick up a few things. Don't
worry, chances are you won't miss me that much." As Ruki stared at him,
she couldn't but wonder what he meant by that statement.
***
A few hours later, after arriving home and being able to
relax, Ruki and Renamon talked about their encounter with Jay and Angeteen.
They both agreed that he was as powerful as he said, if not more so, but that
doubted he was all-powerful. After all, he looked to be 16, and it was only his
first year of discovering what he was. Clearly he wasn't too powerful to be
taken down if needed.
But still the burning question remained...exactly how
strong was he? Angeteen said he was a very strong psychic, but then again
exactly how strong was strong? Did those two (one?) know of a secret group
where others of their kind gathered? Ruki promised herself to ask them just
that the next time they met.
Until then, she could only wait and watch what would
happen. Although her instance told her to beware of them, they did seem sort of
friendly. At least they weren't interested in fighting. Looking over at
Renamon, a chilling thought came into her head. Since Angeteen was a digimon,
would it be possible to absorb Renamon into his being?
If so, what if one day he, or his other self, became
greedy and ended up fighting her? She would lose her only digimon and her days
of fighting would be at an end! Although she wasn't sure if this feat were
possible, she still decided not to risk it. Until they both knew exactly what
they were dealing with, it would be considered useless to make either of them
an enemy, especially with so much on the line.
In the end it seemed that their friendship, or at least a
truce between the two of them, was more of a requirement than a customary act
of kindness. As she shifted these thoughts through her mind, a loud knock from
came from the front of her house.
She ignored it. Just some friend of her grandmother was
all it would be. Turning her gaze back to Renamon, she quietly studied her for
a moment. While she didn't show much affection towards her, she did love her
all the same. Of course, she would never tell her that openly.
A sudden knock on her door made Ruki jump. Turning around
she called out "who is it?" "A friend" a familiar voice
called out. Turning around, she saw that Renamon was still standing there. Just
by knowing that her physically presence was there somehow gave Ruki support.
Walking over to her door, she gave the doorknob a turn,
and Jay walked into the room. As he walked in, Ruki noticed something. On his
left side he wore a sword at his waist. The sheath was a dark black color and
was devoid of any designs. As for the sword in it, the handle was just as plain
as it’s casing, and had the look of what the famed black knight of Camelot
would use. Ruki could imagine why he might have gotten it and it wasn't for
decorative purposes.
"Nice sword" she said, putting little emotion
into her words. Jay, pretending not to hear, simply walked to one of the walls
and leaned against it. After a couple moments of silence he looked at her and
said, "glad to hear it. It coasted me a pretty penny but in the end it was
all worth it."
"Why did you get it?" she asked him. Jay just
gave a light chuckle. "I find that with a sword, you won't have to check
just to make sure your opponent is dead. You will know that because when his
entrails are spread out on the ground, even if he is alive, there isn't much he
can do."
"Maybe so" she said "but why are you sure
a sword will be effective against a digimon? After all, as strong as they are,
it would hardly surprise me if they came through unharmed even if they were
recently struck with a missile."
"Maybe so" he said. "But what do you think
makes a missile or a bomb go boom? Nothing more than a bunch of chemical
reactions and then a loud noise. You've got to remember that what you’re
fighting against is nothing more than data. Which is why you will have better
luck with a sword. The only thing that makes it effective is the hand that’s
guiding it. If it hits skin, it will cut through it. If it hits metal, then one
should aim more carefully at the cracks in his opponent’s armor."
"True, but how do you plan to survive long enough to
get that close to them?" "The guy I bought the sword off of” Jay said
“happens to teach a class on sword techniques. Even though he said my staring
was a little creepy, he managed to handle it well enough."
"So now that you’re an expert with a sword" she
said "what’s your next pan of action?" "To wait. If there is a
thousand miles between you and the enemy, then let the enemy do all the
walking. Besides that...I have no idea where a digimon might appear. Until I
actually know where to find one, it will all just be a matter of time.
"And until then?" she asked. "Until
then...I'll be here." Ruki's eyes narrowed. "Objections?" he
asked, raising an eyebrow. "Yeah. Like how are you going to explain to my
grandma that you’re staying here?" A sly smile crept across his face.
"I told her I was an exchange student. You'd be
surprising what a little fast talk can get you. For example...not only did I
tell her that I was an exchange student, I also told her that I was sent here
to teach you how to fight."
"In other words you’re a liar,” she said. He just
shrugged, unfazed. "Call me whatever you want, it makes no difference to
me. I don't enjoy being dishonest, but if I must, I must. So in short, call it
a matter of fate, or call it me being a bastard, either way, it’s already over
with and there nothing you can do about it."
"No, but perhaps there’s something I can do about
it" Renamon said, walking towards him. Jay glanced at her but didn't give
any other noticeable reaction. "Be careful of those who you make your
friends, and even more careful of those who you make your enemy" he said,
lowering his voice so that his words were given an eerie meaning.
Finally, after stopping when she was directly in front of
him, she gave him an icy look. "I don't like your attitude" she said,
sounding like she would just love to have an excuse to tear him apart.
"And I don't like the fact that our inferiors are running the government,
but what can I do about it? If I took him out, they would only put in charge
someone else who would be just as bad if not worse. So your not alone in having
things you don't like."
Reaching forward, Renamon grabbed the sides of Jay's
shirt and pulled his face towards hers. "I don't like your attitude"
she said, trying to keep her voice steady. "And I don't like you. I want
you to leave us, and to never return. Do you got it?" she asked, almost
ready to choke the life out of him.
"I got it" he said "but I'm not going to
do it. I have nowhere else to go, and the little bit of money I have with me is
what I took from a couple of would-be-muggers, and there isn't much left of
that. Besides that...seeing as how your partner is a human, that means I would
always be able to receive the latest news on where a digimon would appear, plus
I would have a place to sleep."
"I said we don't need you" Renamon said,
tightening the grip on the side of his shirt. Jay gave her an annoyed look.
"Put me down" he said. "I don't enjoy being held this way."
"And just what are you going to do about it?" she asked, hardly
caring what his reply would be.
"This" he said, kicking her square in the
stomach with his right foot. A whoosh of air went out of Renamon's mouth as she
stumbled back, caught completely off guard by the attack. As she managed to
regain her balance, she posed herself for her next attack.
Rising up into the air, she shouted "Diamond
Storm!" As the attack approached him, Jay stood his ground and stared head
on at the attack. As they came within a foot of him, they shattered in midair
as if they had just hit a wall. Looking at Renamon, Jay's flew wide open
Before Renamon knew what was happing, she found herself
flying backwards as she was slammed into a wall. Walking towards the struggling
Renamon, Jay looked up at her and said "so...what do you think about your
previous statements?"
Still struggling, Renamon growled, "you may have me
pinned know, you will have to let me down sometime." "Your right on
that account" Jay said coolly "but for once amaze me and use the
muscles in between your ears instead of the ones in your arms."
Ignoring the random insults Renamon threw at him, Jay
continued. "If I can pin you against this wall that easily, imagine what
damage I could do if I was really trying. If you were an enemy, I could have
killed you by now." To demonstrate his point, he tabbed the hilt of his
sword.
"Now then, all I've come for was a place to lodge.
I'll provide everything else, but I must first have a place to lie my head
down. In return for this service, I will provide you with any help you or your
partner may require. The contract between this agreement will expire as soon as
I decide to move on. Now then, for once, do you think you can be civil and
render me this one service?
Renamon, finally giving up on her struggling, sighed and
admitted defeat. With a nod of his head, Renamon was slowly lowered onto the
ground. "Now then" he said, "before I continue, I must first
remove something."
Lowering his hand down to his waist, he removed his
sword, and placed it in a corner of the room. "Now that everything is
settled,” he said "let’s see if we can set things on better terms than
what we're currently left with."
Walking over into the center of the room, he sat down,
and then made a motion for Ruki and Renamon to do the same. After deciding that
it couldn't hurt anything, Ruki walked over and sat down in front of him while
Renamon sat on her right, and looked reluctant to even talk to him.
"Now then" Jay said "since we all have
enough time on our hands, I am now going to give the both of you a chance to
ask me whatever questions you want." As he said this, Ruki's head suddenly
jerked, remembering the question she wanted to ask him.
"From where you’re from, do you and other psychics
band to together in a secret meeting?" "Please" Jay said "I
consider the term psychic as a degradory term. Psychics are usually a bunch of
fakers who claim that they have the ability to see into the future. No one can
do that, not even I. You cannot see into what has not already happen. So
please, use the term telepath, at least when your in my presence."
"Okay...psychic" Renamon said, sneering her
nose up at him. Jay gave her a glance that could pierce armor but he remained
silent. "Now then, to your question, no, there are no meetings. When we do
meet, it will usually be at a coffee shop or someplace of equal inconspicuous
setting, and its usually kept trimmed down to a maximum of four. I,
unfortunately, don't get into to many of those. The main reason is because I
want to maintain a social invisibility. I don't think that the world is ready
to learn of my presence just yet.
"So this means you’re...rare?"
"Extremely" he said. "Its hard enough to find someone with even
a small amount of telepathy, but to find one who has such a high concentration
as I do...we are the extremely rare." "How do you know about this,
especially since everything is as rare as you tell it to be?" Ruki asked
him.
"I get around,” he said. "Scientists have been
trying to prove for years that that E.S.P. exists, but they're having trouble
doing so. Which means that I, and others like myself, must try to keep our
power under control so we can avoid detection."
"What would happen if you were detected?" Jay
was silent for a moment. "Then...I guess an unfortunate
"accident" would happen to whoever found out." Ruki gulped at
these words. "Sorry if I scared you" he said "but it's true. One
does not exactly cherish being hooked up like a Christmas tree and having a
thousand different tests run on him just to prove something to a bunch of
eggheads. This is merely speculation you understand, not really based
facts."
"So in short, your afraid of letting it become
known." "Yes, I am. Whether they would do as I say or not makes
little difference to me. I still don't like the fact of being tested. Such
things always did make me edgy."
"I think I understand, at least partially anyhow.
But still there is something else I want to know. If being a pys...I mean a
telepath usually involves the mind, how can you shoot lighting out of your
hands? I can understand how you could pin Renamon up against the wall, but the
lighting matter is a different story."
"That’s an easy one,” he said, glade to have a
change of topic. "What I do is simply charge up enough static electricity
to produce the desired effect. You see, the air is floating with thousands of
molecules, so all I do is rearrange them a little until I produce something
similar to a lighting bolt."
"But how can you do that? How can you move molecules
around? And also, how would you know in what order to produce what you
need?" "I move the molecules around with my mind, just like I moved
Renamon over there with my mind." Reamon almost stuck her tongue out at
him, but she caught herself before doing so.
"As for knowing what pattern to construct them in,
all I had to do was take a look at a real lighting bolt. After that, it was
just a matter of jumping the scene back as many times as needed until I got
everything right." "What do you mean by "jumping the scene
back?""
"After a person sees something, his brain copies it
down so that he/she may be able to remember it. Well that’s what mine does.
However, unlike others, I can go back to that scene in my mind and not just see
it mentally, but I can see it physically! Over and over I can replay that scene
like a video, and as I do so, I can actually "zoom in" on the lighting
to see what happens. So all I'm really doing is repeating what I saw in order
to produce the same effect."
Leaning forward, he asked her excitedly. "You ever
seen a brush fire? Talk about amazing! The chemical reactions of heat being
created, fuel being burned, and the release of the smoke...quite a site to
behold. And best of yet, all I need is something flammable to recreate the
scene I just saw."
Ruki, now aware of what she was dealing with, knew that
if Jay wanted to do something, chances are he wouldn't have a hard time in
getting it done. "With that much power" she said, "you must be
invincible." "Not really "invincible,"" Jay said,
"but in part you are right. Which is why I am offering you my assistance.
But before I go to far into that, answer me this; during our conversation, I
saw you tense up a couple of times. Why?
Wondering how to go about answering this, Ruki was quiet.
After a moment of silence, Jay said "you tensed up because you were afraid
of me, right?" A cold chill ran down Ruki's back. Whether he got this
information from reading her mind, or from being able to tell just by looking
at her made little difference. He knew, and that was all that mattered.
Biting her lips, Ruki was about to answer when Renamon
suddenly piped up. "Your scaring her because you already sent her partner
flying into a wall, and to make matters worse, you've forced yourself onto us.
Why wouldn't she be? By the looks of it, your just some kind of crazed maniac
with a deadly ability."
Looking over at Renamon, a tight scowl appeared over his
lips. Squeezing his right hand into a tight fist, he fought to control himself.
"As right as you are" he said, after finally being able to steady
himself "its all not without good 'cause. If I must force myself onto you,
it is only because I have nowhere else to go. If I had you pinned against a
wall, it is only so you would recognize the value of my assistance. And
frankly, just about all I get from you is trouble and insults. I am not your
enemy, and I don't wish to be one. So we might as well work things out."
Turning up her nose at him, Renamon stood up and
vanished. Jay barely even lifted his eyes to take a look at her departure.
"Something tells me that we're not going to work to well together"
Jay said, a sound of regret in his voice. "Pride...she’s full of it."
"What do you mean?" Ruki asked. "What I
mean is that she bares a grudge against me because I was right when I warned
her that she would lose a fight against me." "Well she’s like that,”
Ruki said. "She is a fighter after all."
"Maybe so, but what is her goal?" "Ruki
was caught completely off guard by the question. "I...don't know. I guess
her goal is to fight because I want her to." "So then, what is your
goal to fight?" "To be the strongest tamer there is."
"Is that all? Isn't there any more to it? What good
will it do you to be a good tamer when it will avail you nothing?" Ruki
was silent. As she thought of an answer to his question, the skin on Jay's
right side began to quickly push outward. Unless one was watching, in the space
of three seconds, Ageteen was sitting on Jay's right side, facing Ruki.
Soundlessly, he stood up. Turning to the door, he walked out of it and then
quickly out of site.
"Where is he going?" Ruki asked. "To find
Renamon,” Jay sighed. "He wants to try to calm her down. I wish him luck.
Unless she wishes to make an effort at what I advised her, there will be no
change in her attitude towards me. But her day will come. One day, she will
take a fall, and all her pride will avail her nothing. And then, she will come
to me for help."
"You speak as if you know what’s going to
happen" Ruki stated. "For certain, I do not. However, as the good
book tells you, a fall shortly follows after pride. And those who are consumed
by it, they will meet their end either figuratively, or literally just as the
Senator Caesar did. Either way, she is doomed as long as she follows her
current course."
As he said these last few lines, a hidden look of both
knowing and of not knowing filled his eyes. Looking over at Jay, Ruki couldn't
help but wonder exactly how much he knew, and how much he would tell. All she
knew was that his words weren't just for show.
And since they weren't for show, it was hard to tell what
they were meant as. A threat? A warning? A prophecy? Whatever they were, Ruki
had a sinking filling that what Jay had just said, would in the end come true.
And thus she feared for her partner.
***
Appearing on someone's rooftop, Renamon sat as she
brooded at what had just happened. Only recently she had been humiliated by not
only being defeated, but by being defeated by a human! True, an extremely
powerful one, but still a human nonetheless.
From the sky, a figure softly landed behind her.
"What do you want?" she asked, not even needing to turn around to
know who it was. Sitting down beside her, Angeteen drew his wings close
together, so he could sit as close to Renamon as he could.
"I have come to talk" Angeteen said, staring
down into the streets. "As I understand it, you have something against my
partner." "Partner?" Renamon asked. "How can you be his
partner is you are nothing more than a fraction of his self?"
"Because that’s what I am,” he said. "Even
though I am only part of the original, I am his partner because if it weren't
for him, I wouldn't exist. He would, being the original, but I wouldn't."
"The original?" Renamon asked. "In other words, before you were
created?"
"Correct" Angeteen said. "If I didn't
exist, then he would be whole, plus he would have more powerful than you would
ever know." "Then if that happened, why doesn't he do so?"
Angeteen looked a little uneasy with this question, but still he answered it.
"Because he respects my right as an individual. To
him, if he undoes what he has done, he would have just committed murder because
I would no longer exist." "That doesn't make to much sense to me,”
Renamon said. "Even if you ceased to exist, you would still have been back
with your other half. So how could you die?"
"Death is however you define it,” he said. "To
him, death isn't in the physical sense, but more of the spiritual. He knows
that if he did carry through with what you suggested, my personality would be
gone forever, and nothing could undo that. So he leaves things as they are, and
for that I am glad. I would not like to overwritten like I had no use."
Renamon just looked at Angeteen strangely. "Jay
amazes me,” she said. "He doesn't even hesitate to flaunt his power, yet
he is concerned about the life of others. Sounds more like an oxymoron to me.
Either that, or has a real bad case of MPD (multiple personality disorder), and
I'm not referring to your existence either."
"You might call it that!" he said, throwing his
head back as he laughed out hard. After his laughter subsided, he turned
serious again. "But however you look at it, think of it this way; if you
were told that you were going to have your memory erased and then changed so
you would end up leading a different life, which one would you prefer? The old
you or the new one?"
"My old one" Renamon replied. "And why is
that?" "Because I don't like having my mind messed with."
"But how would you know about it?" Angeteen asked. "If your mind
was altered, how would you even know there WAS a change?"
Renamon was silent for a moment. "I see what you
mean,” she said slowly. "But I still think Jay is nothing more than a
bastard. While he may not be the kind that would normally kill a person, he
seems to have no problem in humiliating them."
"The humiliation wasn't brought up by him, it was
brought up by you" Angeteen said. Renamon glared at him sharply. Ignoring
her gaze, Angeteen continued on. "He doesn't like to fight that much. He
prefers to talk his way out. However, with you acting like you were the
strongest digimon there was, I guess he only saw it fit to knock you down a few
pegs before being able to work with you."
"Renamon's face was flushed with anger. "You
don't really think that I'm going to be nice to an over bearing creep like him
do you?!" "Angeteen sighed. "First comes pride, then a fall, or
so they say. If you don't like him, then at least try to. He may seem rude at
first glance, but you shouldn't worry about that. He just has a tendency to be
completely open with his thoughts and feelings."
"Renamon just turned her back on him and huffed.
"Well, you may like him, but I don't. I don't like those who barge into
other people's home, and then take up residents there." "Or those who
can defeat you with out even lifting a finger" Angeteen said.
Renamon grimaced upon hearing this. He was, as much as
she hated it, right. When Jay had her pinned against the wall, all he had to do
was stare directly at her. "He wants your help, you do know that, don't
you?" Angeteen asked.
"Why would he need my help?" Renamon asked.
"After seeing what he could do, chances are he could do well enough on his
own." "No, he can't" Angeteen said. "He may be strong, but
he isn't omnipotent. He knows that if he tried to fight a strong digimon, he
would end up losing, due to the fact that he would be reluctant to kill it.
Believe me, he can't do everything by himself. He has the power to kill, but he
chooses not to do so. That is why he needs you. You have no regrets on doing
such things, so you would be an invaluable asset to him."
Renamon pretended not to hear. "Don't you
understand?!" Angeteen shouted, banging his fist against the roof.
"He needs your help just as much as you need his!" "I don't need
his help" Renamon said coldly. A soft growl was heard from the depths of
Angeteen's throat.
"Fine then" he said, standing up. "I have
come only to try to awaken you to the fact that he is not as bad as you think
he is, but you will not listen. I feel sorry for you, Renamon. You will lead a
very sad life indeed." "What do you mean by that?" she asked,
her back still to him. After receiving no answer, she turned around and saw
that he had vanished, leaving only the night to answer her question.
***
Walking through the door, Angeteen saw that Jay had
finished talking to Ruki, and was now practicing with his sword. Seeing his
other half come in, Jay stopped his training and sheathed his sword. Had any
luck?" he asked.
Angeteen only shook his head. "No. In fact, she
still hates you. I think she might have been warmed up some when I told her
that you valued life, but I doubt it would be any worth noticing." Jay
just shrugged his shoulders.
"Well these things happen. Sometimes one has to take
a fall before realizing how wrong they are. Just relax a little. I've got a
feeling that it won't be long until she does take one." "Do you think
it would really change her hostility towards you?" Jay was quiet for a
moment.
"It should. Seeing as how she is a fighter, I say
let her continue to be one. If she wants to fight alone to become a better at
it, then let her do so. However, when she falls at the hands of another, that
will be when she'll be humbled. Until then, that fall hasn't happened yet, and
she is still filled with a zealous pride." "And I take it you will be
there waiting for it to happen?" Jay only smiled. "Of course. Where
else would I be?"
***
Latter that night in Ruki's room, Renamon appeared out of
thin air as usual. "Renamon, where were you?" Ruki asked. "I was
out thinking" Renamon said. "Angeteen found me and tried to convince
me that Jay wasn't as bad as I think he is."
Ruki was quiet for a moment. "You should listen to
what Angeteen tells you. Already Jay said that you will take a fall due to your
pride." "Angeteen said something similar." "Well I think
they're right. They seem to bear only good intentions for us, plus Angeteen is
probably just as strong as Jay is seeing as how he is a fracture of himself.
You shouldn't feel ashamed if they can beat you so easily."
Renamon stiffened. First Jay, then Angeteen, and now Ruki
telling her that she was filled with pride. What next? Her getting beaten by a
Numemon? "I'm not filled with pride" she gritted. "Then why did
you suddenly hate Jay after you were thrown into a wall?"
"You try it" Renamon growled. "Its not as
painless as you think." "I know that, but would he have still done it
if you hadn't ordered him to leave?" "I told him to leave because
he's trouble. I can sense it." "Well so can I, but what I sense isn't
trouble."
"Well each to his own accord" Renamon stated.
"Until he proves that he is what you say he is, I refuse to believe
it." "Believe what you will,” Ruki said "but we should at least
give him a chance. I mean, so far he hasn't caused us any trouble."
Renamon looked at her doubtfully.
"Anyway" Ruki said, "I'm to tired to
argue, lets get some sleep." Renamon, glade that this conversation was
going to be brought to an end, was more than ready to agree to her idea.
Turning around, Ruki grabbed the edges of her shirt, and pulled it over her
head.
Throwing it over her shoulder, she sat down on her bed
for a moment as she removed her socks and shoes. As soon as they were off, she
undid her belt and slipped off her jeans. Now completely nude, she pulled the
covers from her bed as she slipped down into it.
Renamon, who was by now more than used to Ruki's nightly
routines, moved into bed with her. After Ruki moved over a little to the left,
Renamon was able to squeeze in on the right side of her. Rolling over slightly,
Renamon grabbed Ruki by the waist and laid her face down against her own body.
After her tamer got comfortable, Renamon placed her left
hand at the entrance of Ruki's pussy, and slowly inserted a finger inside of
her as she slowly masturbate her. After feeling Renamon's paw move around
inside of her, Ruki gave a contented sigh and rested her head on Renamon's
chest.
No matter what others might say, this was the best part
of going to bed, or so Ruki felt. She wasn't sure why, but by resting her head
on Renamon's pillow like chest, it usually helped her to fall asleep. The only
thing she didn't understand was why Renamon was fingering her.
She had never done this before, and why she was starting
now was beyond her. After moving her finger around a little, she inserted a
second and a third digit inside of her. Ruki moaned in pleasure as she arched
her back slightly.
"Renamon" Ruki said, trying to ignore the fact
that her partner was molesting her. "Why are you doing this? You never did
this before." Renamon just shrugged. "I don't know why. I guess
because it seems like the right thing at the right time. Do you want me to
stop?"
"No" Ruki said. "I don't mind. Please
continue." Smiling to herself, Renamon brought her right hand into play as
she lightly squeeze Ruki's clit. Ruki gave another moan of pleasure and
tightened her grip on Renamon's fur.
After fingering her for a couple of minutes, Ruki decided
to get involved. Lowering her head until
it was at level with Renamon's nipples, she stuck the right one into her mouth and
began to suckle on it. While Renamon was a little annoyed with Ruki disrupting
her hand job, she did however appreciate the attention Ruki was giving to her
in return.
Closing her eyes, Renamon bathed in the pleasure that her
nipples were receiving. The fact that they were being sucked not only turned
her on, but also the fact that it was being done by someone who was dear to her
made it even better.
Removing her hand that was previously rubbing Ruki's
clit, Renamon placed her hand on Ruki's head and purred lightly. Ruki, seeing
that Renamon was liking this kind of treatment, sucked even harder on her
nipples and even gave an occasional nip to it.
Renamon, who was by now filled to the brim with pleasure,
decided that she wanted more action. Removing her hand from Ruki's cunt, she
turned her around so that her pussy was now up in her face. After getting a
good whiff of the girl's pussy, Renamon buried her face into it.
Ruki, who was at the other end, suddenly grew curious
about what a pussy might taste like. By the way Renamon was going at it, it
must have a very special flavor to it. Bringing her face close to Renamon's
crotch, she tentively stuck out her tongue and got a small taste.
Ruki almost fell off, as Renamon shuddered at the sudden touch
of her neither regions. After licking her lips, Ruki decided that it didn't
taste so bad. A little salty maybe, but still quite tasty. Spreading Renamon's
lips a little, she began to eat her out.
Renamon, who was surprised by Ruki's sudden eagerness,
almost stopped her licking. However, after a couple of moments, the feeling
washed over her and she was able to get back to her licking. Finally, after a
couple of minutes have passed, Ruki began to feel something strange.
Renamon, sensing this, slowed down her licking. "Why
did you slow down?" Ruki asked. "Your about to cum" Renamon
said. Ruki thought for a moment. "What’s that?" "You'll
see" Renamon said, chuckling slightly at Ruki being so naive.
Finally, after a few more expert licks from Renamon, Ruki
felt it. She felt a strange, yet pleasant, constriction inside of her pussy. As
this happened, she also felt her body expel something. For a moment she was
afraid that she had just went on Renamon's mouth, but she soon canceled that
thought as she realized that wasn't what it was.
Renamon, who was on the bottom, licked up some of Ruki's
cum off of her mouth. "Not bad" she said, licking her lips. Ruki,
suddenly curious what cum tasted like, tried as best she could to bring her
partner to an orgasm.
Shoving her tongue as far as it would go, she moved it
around wildly. Renamon gave a soft moan as she did so. Knowing what Ruki was
trying to do, she didn't bother holding herself back. In a few moments, Renamon
was brought to her own orgasm and Ruki got her first taste of cum.
Licking her lips, she saw that Renamon was, as usual,
right. It did taste good. Sitting up, Ruki turned around and laid her head back
on Renamon's furry chest. "That was fun,” she said. "We should do it
more often." Renamon smiled and wrapped her arms around her tamer, giving
her a slight hug. Renamon couldn't have agreed more. "I will be sure to do
that,” she said, closing her eyes before going to sleep.
Before she dosed off, Renamon felt for once in a long
time content. Even though she was suffering problems with their new
"guests," Ruki would always be with her no matter what. Knowing this,
Renamon decided that this alone would be enough to inspire her comfort. Smiling
slightly, Renamon found herself falling into a deep, dreamless sleep.
