This is part 1 to the Evil Never Dies series.

Descent into Darkness: Cody watched helplessly as his father’s friend died in front of his eyes. There was nothing he could do to stop it. Once his figure fully vanished the boy stood up with tears in his eyes.

‘’Well guys we might have won this fight. But our work here has only begun.’’ Tai announced.

‘’Tai’s right. We still have to repair all the damage done from the years of conflict.’’ Davis agreed.

Izzy took out his laptop. ‘’According to my computer the digital world could use a lot of help.’’

‘’We can worry about that tomorrow. It’s late so we should return home for now.’’ Kari suggested.

Everyone else felt the same way. Coming out back at the mountain campsite where the whole adventure began the chosen children were met by their family members. Telling them about what went down on the other side gave them a sense of closure. Armadillomon meanwhile felt upset. He learned from the others that Cody had already went back to his apartment complex. Deciding to give his friend some space he returned to the Digital World. T.K. and Yolei with their digimon went to their homes. They lived in the same building as Cody although neither went to check up on him. Soon everyone retired for the night. In the morning, Cody awoke to the sound of his D-terminal. All of his friends had sent him messages expressing their concerns.

Cody took out his D3 and opened the port. The two came out in Primary Village.

Erika was taken back by the colorful surroundings. ‘’I know I’m awake but I feel like I’m in a dream.’’

Davis since last night was having doubts about the stability of both worlds. He went to the Kamiya residence to voice his concerns. Sitting down in the den he met with Tai and Kari.

‘’I’ve been feeling uneasy. We won yesterday but what about the next fight?’’ Davis speculated.

‘’Well our duties with protecting both worlds will technically never end. I’m sure whatever future threats come our way we can deal with it.’’ Tai figured.

‘’Tai’s right. And with other’s like us all over the world there’s no stopping us.’’ Kari agreed.

‘’I know guys but something tells me the worst is yet to come.’’ Davis regretted.

Cody and Erika stopped in the shade of some trees to eat lunch. She was having a blast in this newly discovered area.

The three departed walking over to Izzy’s place. The other digidestined were already there. Izzy showed them to his room where his laptop was already on.

‘’I think I’ve made a very interesting discovery. It would appear that there’s more than our world and the Digital World.’’ Izzy began explaining.

‘’Wait, you mean like the dark ocean or that subspace where we fought MaloMyotismon?’’ Yolei asked.

‘’Well sort of. I found that other dimensions are all linked to the two worlds we’ve been protecting. They both harbor a human and digimon realms and are all assigned people to protect them.’’ Izzy responded.

Tai was skeptical. ‘’How did you find this out?’’

‘’The digimon sovereigns contacted me. They told me everything. Our destinies will collide with these other worlds.’’ Izzy sighed.

Davis became intrigued. ‘’So, what do we do now?’’

‘’We need to join forces with these other digidestined if we are ever to stand a chance.’’ Sora suggested.

Izzy showed everyone his display. It reported that there were other universes that were ultimately connected to this one. Azulongmon informed that everyone else would join together soon. Also that the impending danger would be worse than anything anyone ever could have imagined.

‘’There’s nothing else we can do for now. We just have to wait for whatever happens to happen.’’ Izzy shared.

In one of the other dimensions, a lot had changed. Many months had passed since the digimon tamers said goodbye to their digimon partners. ‘’Erika? What are you doing here?’’ Cody questioned.

‘’I know it’s strange but something tells me it’s accurate. After all, how would the source know about Labramon in the first place?’’ Kai added.

‘’You do have a point Kai. Okay, you can come along.’’ Takato offered.

One by one the others; Henry, Suzie, Kenta, Kazu, Jeri, Ryo, Ai and Mako arrived.

‘’Wait, where’s Rika?’’ Henry wondered.

‘’She must be running late. We should wait.’’ Ryo assumed.

Rika was up at her home with Alice. She had gotten Rika’s message and came to her place to follow up. After some talking Alice revealed a similar incident to Minami’s involving her digimon friend Dobermon being alive. The two hurried to the rendezvous soon after.

‘’All right. Everyone’s here. We should get a move on.’’ Takato instructed.

The group gathered within the shed and crawled down into the pit.

‘’Renamon is here somewhere. I better not keep her waiting.’’

Rika traced the source to a small makeshift house in front of her. Taking in a deep breath she opened the door. Renamon had her back to the door. She heard it open turning around.

‘’Rika? It can’t be…’’ Renamon paused.

‘’Renamon, it is me. I came back to see you.’’ Rika said.

‘’So Renamon, where are the other digimon? When we arrived we all got signals coming from all over the place.’’ Rika wanted to know.

‘’Well when we first arrived back here the sovereigns told us the two worlds would never interact again. We were all so distraught we went our separate ways, haven’t seen each other since although I last heard all of us are able to digivolve on our own.’’ Renamon explained.

‘’I see. Well its great seeing you again. I’ve missed you terribly.’’

‘’Me too Rika.’’

Gatomon had been sleeping at Kari’s apartment when she awoke to the noise of Agumon entering the room. She was covered in a cold sweat.

‘’Gatomon? You don’t look good.’’ Agumon commented.

‘’Oh Agumon. It’s Kari! I think she’s in trouble!’’ Gatomon exclaimed.

‘’I just had a horrible dream, it must mean something!’’

‘’Okay, okay. I’ll get Tai.’’

Agumon ran to the bedroom bringing back his partner. Tai tried to contact his sister but got no response.

‘’This is bad. Kari isn’t like the one to not answer.’’ Tai felt.

The three departed to the digital world for more information.

Takato following Guilmon’s signal, realized it was coming from many miles away. Stopping to rest in a bustling city he tried to figure out a way to get there quicker.

‘’Maybe I should ask around.’’

Digimon were walking around him everywhere yet none of them seemed intimidated by his appearance. He stopped a Woodmon.

‘’Excuse me? Is there some sort of public transportation system around here?’’ Takato asked.

‘’Um sure, just go to the Trailmon station. It is two blocks west from here.’’ Woodmon directed.

‘’Okay, thanks.’’

Takato did as the Woodmon instructed. He located the station finding a schedule on the board. Takato learned the Trailmon red line was in the general area he was headed. While boarding the Trailmon he bumped into Jeri.

‘’Hey Takato. Find Guilmon yet?’’ Jeri asked.

‘’No but I think I’m headed in the right place. Want to tag along?’’ Takato offered.

‘’Sure, let’s go.’’

Tai and the accompanying digimon found no trace of Kari and none of the others had seen her either. All three began to worry gravely. Not knowing what else to do they turned to Izzy for help. Meeting halfway at Santa Garia the four gathered at the local hotel.

‘’If Kari isn’t in the real world or the digital world then there’s only one explanation.’’ Izzy figured.

‘’Oh no. Kari is back in the dark ocean?’’ Gatomon questioned.

Izzy nodded. ‘’It would appear so. That would explain why she can’t contact us.’’

‘’So how do we get there? There has to be some way.’’ Tai hoped.

‘’We’ll figure something out Tai. In the meantime Kari is on her own.’’ Izzy regretted.

Elsewhere in another one of the universes, Takuya and his friends had gathered at a fast food joint downtown for a quick lunch. Reminiscing of the old days of when they were able to spirit evolve into legendary warriors brought back good and bad memories. All of them held onto their D-Tectors wondering if they would ever be called back into action. That call was now.

‘’Hmm, do you guys hear that?’’ Zoe asked.

‘’Yeah. It sounds like a voice, a familiar voice.’’ Tommy noted.

Everyone turned to their digivices seeing that they were glowing and saying a message.

‘’The time has come once again. As digidestined you must answer the call.’’ The message spoke.

‘’This is serious guys. We must be needed for something again.’’ Takuya announced.

‘’Let’s go back to the train station.’’ Kouji suggested.

The group got their food to go and departed to their destination.

T.K. heard from an e-mail that Kari was in possible peril. Remembering the last time she fell victim to the powers of darkness he felt obligated to assist. Taking Patamon to the digital world he returned to Primary VIllage.

‘’Uh T.K.? What are we doing here?’’ Patamon asked.

‘’This is where I saw you die Patamon. Four years ago you sacrificed yourself to save all of us.’’ T.K. reminded.

Kneeling down on the ground he tried to remember the emptiness he felt when his partner died. It filled his heart with despair, hopefully enough to open the dimensional rift. T.K. closed his eyes as did Patamon. When they opened them, all they could see was sand and water.

‘’Okay, Kari has to be around here. Let’s get looking.’’ T.K. declared.

Patamon followed his partner as he ran ahead. T.K. whipped out his D3 and prayed it would find Kari’s signal. It latched onto a powerful source of energy coming from a cave.

‘’Hello? Kari?’’ T.K. called out.

T.K. only heard his echo in response. The two ventured deeper and deeper soon finding Kari’s digivice. Marks on the sand indicated shoe tracks in, a struggle and odd footprints leaving.

T.K. fell to the ground in sorrow. ‘’We’re too late…’’

Takato and Jeri had been riding the Trailmon red line for about half an hour. At each stop the tamer checked his digivice for a stronger reading. At the next one, he got a big reaction from Viridian City.

‘’This must be it.’’ Takato assumed.

He and Jeri disembarked and found Guilmon’s home.

Takato knocked on the door. ‘’Guilmon? Are you in there?’’

The door opened from the force of Takato’s knocking. Inside he found Guilmon asleep in a bed. Takato became ecstatic running over and embracing his old friend. Guilmon meanwhile awoke from the extreme movements.

‘’Hey! I was having a good dream about bread!’’ Guilmon snapped.

The digimon then saw who had awoken him. His eyes watered.

‘’Takato…’’ Guilmon muttered.

He brought his claws to his tamer’s face overcome with a mixture of emotion. Takato held his digimon’s head cradling it so glad they were together once more. The two of them began to catch up on what’s been going on. Jeri joined them in conversation.

T.K. felt like a failure. Patamon did his best to comfort him although his words had little effect.

‘’Please don’t cry T.K. we’ll get Kari back.’’ Patamon consoled.

‘’This is just like last time, I should’ve known she was in trouble.’’ T.K. regretted.

T.K. knew that Kari without her D3 was untraceable. She could be anywhere in this dark wasteland. Refusing to back down yet T.K. took out his own digivice.

‘’Digi armor energize!’’ T.K. yelled.

Patamon armor digivolve to… Pegasusmon, flying hope.

T.K. mounted his digimon as he took off into the air. Sora was spending time in the digital world with Biyomon repairing damaged areas. The two knew despite Kari’s disappearance they had to keep busy.

‘’This work sure takes a lot out of you.’’ Biyomon commented.

Sora sighed. ‘’I agree. Let’s take a break.’’

The digidestined broke out some goodies from her backpack sharing them with her partner. Sora had recently been conflicted between her feelings for Tai or Matt. She wasn’t sure who she liked more or wanted to be with.

‘’Oh Biyomon, I’m so distraught. I can’t choose between them.’’ Sora regretted.

‘’I know it’s hard. You just have to listen to your heart.’’ Biyomon suggested.

Sora decided to talk to both of them later. Right now there were other things that needed to be done.

Takuya and the other digidestined had reached the train station descending to the bottom level where they first disembarked on their big adventure. There was a lone Trailmon on one of the loading platforms.

‘’Well I guess that’s our ride.’’ J.P. assumed.

‘’Only one way to find out.’’ Koichi added.

The six boarded the digimon and sat down. Once they were all seated the Trailmon took off to the unknown.

T.K. had been searching in vain for any sign of Kari for about an hour. Knowing there was nothing else he could do for her now he gave up. Pegasusmon returned to his rookie form and T.K. focused his thoughts to a more positive outlook. A beam of light shined down from above returning him and his digimon to the real world.

‘’I better check my messages.’’ T.K. remembered.

T.K. hoped for good news about Kari only to find nobody had any such thing to report. He and Patamon told Tai about his travel and agreed to meet on File Island. The two waited in Primary Village for his arrival. Elecmon was there at the time so he ran over to say hello.

‘’What’s wrong guys? You look kinda down.’’ Elecmon stressed.

‘’A lot of things are going on now Elecmon and they’re not in our favor.’’ T.K. explained.

‘’Anything I can do to help?’’ Elecmon asked.

‘’I’m not sure. We’ll let you know.’’ Patamon answered.

Tai and Agumon approached from over the horizon. T.K. informed the two on how to travel between the two plains and gave the digidestined Kari’s D3.

‘’Don’t be upset T.K. There was nothing else you could’ve done.’’ Tai told him.

His words helped T.K. feel better since they were coming from Kari’s brother. He smiled.

Rika and Takato, reunited with their digimon conversed through e-mails on where they should meet. Both agreed they land of the digimon sovereigns would be best proceeding to make their way there. Henry and Suzie were already there believing Lopmon might be somewhere around.

‘’Well this is the bridge where the two of you first met.’’ Henry remembered.

‘’Yeah, but no Lopmon…’’ Suzie sighed.

‘’Don’t worry Suzie. We’ll keep looking till we find her.’'

Suzie held her D-Power up high in the air. The signal was emitting from over the bridge. Henry and Suzie boarded a bubble which took them across. Entering the chamber where Henry first biomerged they were both surprised to not find the sovereign inside.

‘’Hey Henry. Shouldn’t the fire birdy be here?’’ Suzie asked.

‘’You’re right Suzie. I wonder where he is?’’ Henry responded.

Out of the corner Antylamon appeared. She stopped in her tracks upon seeing the humans.

Antylamon rubbed her eyes. ‘’Henry? Suzie?’’

Walking closer the digimon verified it was the two of them. She returned to her rookie form. Suzie became hysterical running over and picking up her partner squeezing to the point of suffocation.

‘’Lopmon! I’m so happy to see you!’’ Suzie exclaimed.

‘’Suzie, Suzie...’’ Lopmon paused.

Lopmon never expected to see her tamer ever again. She cried overcome with emotion.

‘’There, there. It’s all okay now.’’ Suzie comforted.

Henry approached the two. ‘’So Lopmon, where’s your master?’’

‘’He was badly injured during the fight against the D-Reaper. I’ve been nursing him back to health ever since I got back. He’s resting in a safe area.’’ Lopmon explained.

‘’That’s good. I need to find Terriermon. Do you want to tag along?’’ Henry offered.

‘’Sure Henry, let’s go.’’ Lopmon replied.

Gatomon had slumped into a deep down and out mood following Kari’s vanishing. After all, it was her responsibility to protect her partner. She went for a walk in the digital world unaware of a dark shroud that was following her.

‘’If anything ever happened to Kari I’ll never forgive myself.’’

Gatomon stopped and sat down. She heard an odd sound in the air. Turning around Gatomon saw a dark object falling from the sky.

‘’What the…?’’

Davis began obsessing of a way to rescue Kari from the clutches of evil. He went to the digital world with Veemon to try and think.

‘’I know you think Kari is the only one for you. But I don’t think there’s anything else we can do.’’ Veemon reasoned.

‘’Well I can’t give up buddy. I’ll find Kari if it’s the last thing I do.’’ Davis stated.

He took out his digivice which got an odd signal.

‘’Maybe this means something. Let’s go!’’ Davis yelled.

The two took off towards the source only to come across Gatomon lying on the ground not moving.

‘’Huh? Gatomon!’’ Veemon hollered.

Veemon ran to her side and shook her. She awoke to his shaking.

‘’Hey Veemon! Knock it off!’’ Gatomon snapped.

‘’Oh, um, sorry Gatomon. I thought something was wrong.’’ Veemon apologized.

‘’Nothing’s wrong. Just a cat nap.’’ Gatomon reassured.

‘’Well as long as everything’s okay…’’ Davis said.

Gatomon got to her feet. ‘’Anyway, can you come back to my place Veemon? I’d like to show you something.’’

‘’Sure Gatomon. Will you be okay Davis?’’ Veemon wanted to make sure.

‘’Yeah Veemon. Take all the time you need.’’ Davis told him.

Davis walked away and returned to the real world. Gatomon and Veemon began to head to the outskirts on File Island. It was within walking distance. When they got there Gatomon showed Veemon to her room.

‘’You know I don’t think you’ve ever invited me here before.’’ Veemon noted.

‘’Wait here. I’ll be right back.’’ Gatomon instructed.

Gatomon left the room. Veemon noticed a laptop on the table. Curiosity got the best of him as he opened it up. On the display it had an e-mail from an unknown source. Clicking on it he became shocked to learn it was instructions on how to unleash a wave of darkness from Infinity Mountain that would consume the entire island. Veemon tried to learn the sender; it came from Kari’s D-Terminal.

Gatomon came back inside the room noticing Veemon on the computer. He heard her lock the door.

Veemon turned towards her. ‘’Gatomon?’’

Gatomon said nothing as she took out some rope.

Veemon began to sweat. ‘’Uh, what’s the rope for?’’

Gatomon pushed Veemon down onto her bed. She grabbed his right wrist beginning to tie it to the bedpost. Veemon struggled only to get whacked in the jaw with her powerful fist. After securing his hand she did the same to the other and both feet. Gatomon climbed on top of Veemon. She joined her mouth onto his deeply kissing him. Veemon tried to resist her influence despite the fact that this is what he always wanted. Yet in this situation it was just plain wrong. Veemon prepared for the worst to happen but was relieved as Gatomon suddenly stopped smooching and got off him.

‘’I won’t rape you just yet. I have to wait for my instructions.’’ Gatomon informed.

‘’Lemme go you traitor!’’ Veemon demanded.

Gatomon reached into her dresser drawer taking out a white gag and firmly tying it over Veemon’s mouth. She gave him an evil smile.

‘’You know too much. I can’t let you warn the others. Now that my master has Kari nothing will stand in the way of our takeover.’’ Gatomon shared with him.

Veemon cursed at her under his breath. Gatomon read her e-mail before exiting through an underground trapdoor. Tai felt it was time for him and his friends to come together and talk about what’s been going on. He told everyone to gather at Toy Town. Within half an hour the whole gang except Mimi and Palmon were there.

‘’Mimi must be busy because I can’t get in touch.’’ Sora reported.

‘’Well we’ll tell her later. Right now we have important things to go over.’’ Tai announced.

Gatomon had reached the base of Infinity Mountain. Entering through a hidden passageway she maneuvered deep down below where the evil source of Devimon’s black gears laid dormant having never been touched in four long years. Gatomon found a generator turning it on. Thousands of gears emerged from the mountain seeking digimon to control. Tai was still talking about the challenges ahead when the sky began to darken, even though it was relatively early in the day. The group gathered outside seeing nothing but blackness headed right towards them at a fast rate of speed. The older digidestined knew all too well what they were. Everyone took off in different directions in a desperate attempt to escape the carnage.

Henry, Suzie and Lopmon were still looking for Terriermon. They left the land of the sovereigns returning to the urban districts. Word of the humans arriving back in the digital world meanwhile had quickly spread throughout the land. Terriermon had been living in solitude in a mountainous area when he happened to turn on the radio and hear the news.

‘’Humans? But how?’’

Terriermon listened to the whole broadcast. Hoping and praying Henry was one of the humans he left his cottage to search. Kazu wasn’t having much luck in finding Guardromon. Kenta wasn’t either with MarineAngemon. The two agreed to meet in the sky cloud area where they first encountered Ryo. Kazu arrived first at the meeting spot; the clock with the stuck second hand.

‘’Better not touch that again.’’

Within minutes Kent came walking up.

‘’Hey Kazu. Feels strange being back doesn’t it?’’ Kenta remarked.

Kazu nodded. ‘’Yeah. Now if only we could find our digimon.’’

Both of the tamer’s D-Powers were being blocked by some interference. Not knowing what else to do they wandered around. The two eventually came across some mechanical digimon gathered around a fountain.

‘’Excuse me can you guys help us? We’re looking for someone.’’ Kazu said.

The digimon turned around. A Hagurumon was among one in the crowd. He hopped towards the humans.

‘’Oh Kazu! I heard the news but I couldn’t believe it!’’ Hagurumon exclaimed.

Kazu was lost. ‘’Wait a second, Guardromon?’’

‘’Well sort of. I’ve been hanging out in this form since I got back. It takes less energy to sustain.’’ Hagurumon explained.

Kazu smiled as he could tell this digimon was in fact his. He wrapped his arms around his gears. They were both very happy to see each other.

Matt managed to get out of Toy Town by running to the sewers. He had completely lost sight of Gabumon while running. Knowing he would be vulnerable without his partner the teenager made it his priority to find him.

Matt took out his digivice. ‘’He’s not around here anywhere.’’

Matt walked to the end of a pipe leading back outside. The sky had turned grey.

‘’I guess this is what the sovereigns spoke of. We’re going to need all the help we can get.’’

The digidestined feared going out in the open. He huddled back in the sewers laying low for now. Yolei was riding on Aquilamon flying away from File Island. Looking back the two saw the whole land mass covered in darkness.

‘’This is bad Yolei.’’ Aquilamon commented.

‘’I know Aquilamon. What should we do now?’’ Yolei asked.

‘’Get away from here. Let’s land at Server.’’

Aquilamon shifted course. Along the way Yolei tried to contact the others. Some of them reported they were okay, some didn’t answer at all. The digimon soon arrived at Server. Yolei hopped off and he returned to rookie form.

‘’I spoke to Cody, he should be here already.’’ Yolei informed her partner.

‘’I see. Let’s try and find him then.’’ Hawkmon proposed.

The pair began to track Cody’s signal. He and Armadillomon came walking towards them.

‘’Yolei, I’m so glad to see you’re okay.’’ Cody greeted.

‘’Same here. Do you have any idea what happened?’’ Yolei hoped.

‘’Sadly no but it didn’t surprise me. Izzy did warn us after all.’’ Cody responded.

Yolei sighed. ‘’Right. Well we should try and regroup before it gets dark.’’

The two and their digimon began to try and locate some of the other digidestined.

Kouji and his friends had arrived back in the digital world somewhat taken back. Everything seemed normal just like when they first came which made them question why they were needed. The six stepped off the Trailmon as it docked.

‘’My D-Tector is getting a reading coming from the east.’’ Zoe shared with the group.

Tommy looked at his digivice. ‘’Me too. Might as well follow it.’’

The group set out. The signal brought them to a palace that soared at least fifty stories into the sky.

‘’This wasn’t here last time, was it?’’ Koichi questioned.

‘’I don’t think so. Let’s go inside.’’ Takuya instructed.

Everyone entered the main lobby being greeted by a receptionist at a desk.

‘’Welcome back guys. You’re needed upstairs.’’ The digimon told them.

The digidestined entered an elevator and took it to the top floor. They stepped out surprised to see Ophanimon, Seraphimon and Cherubimon in front of them.

‘’Wow. You’re all back to normal.’’ Tommy remarked.

‘’Yes, since you departed the digital world has been returned to a peaceful state and we’ve all been able to return to our regular forms.’’ Ophanimon reported.

‘’So if everything’s okay then why did you call us?’’ Takuya asked.

‘’All might be well here but in another digital world everything has gone under.’’ Seraphimon explained.

‘’After being contacted by the sovereigns there all three of us decided it would be best to send them all the help we can get.’’ Cherubimon added.

Glowing spheres appeared in front of the digidestined. They were absorbed into their digivices.

‘’You all now have the ability to spirit evolve once more. The subway downstairs will lead you to your destination.’’ Ophanimon instructed.

The digidestined said farewell as they left the top floor boarding another Trailmon on the sub-level to their final destination.

Davis wasn’t as fortunate as some of the others. He was stranded in Toy Town hiding in a closet in one of the houses. Trying to stay quiet as a mouse seemed to not help as someone began opening the door. Davis panicked kicking the door in the opposite direction knocking down the one on the other side.

‘’Ow! Davis!’’ A familiar voice shouted.

Davis crept forward discovering it was Ken he just injured.

‘’Sorry Ken. I thought you were one of the bad guys.’’ Davis apologized.

‘’We need to get out of here. Our digimon need to DNA digivolve.’’ Ken suggested.

‘’Yeah, about that…’’

‘’Wait. Where’s Veemon?’’

‘’He went off with Gatomon before. I could only imagine what kind of trouble he’s in.’’

Ken paused to think. ‘’Wormmon is downstairs. We’ll just have to make do with him.’’

The two boys joined together with the digimon.

‘’I’ll digivolve right now and fly us out of here.’’ Wormmon offered.

‘’You guys go. I need to find Veemon.’’ Davis refused.

‘’Davis no! We need to get out of here while we can!’’ Ken objected.

‘’I won’t leave him. He would do the same for me.’’ Davis stated.

‘’Okay, just be careful.’’ Ken warned.

‘’I will.’’ Davis assured.

Wormmon digivolve to… Stingmon.

Stingmon took hold of his partner and flew off into the sky. Davis began to go back to where he last saw Gatomon and Veemon. Kari meanwhile had been captured by the forces of darkness and brought to their master Dragomon’s lair. She was in a large room with an underwater passage. Two dark ones were holding each of her arms forcing her towards the gigantic digimon. Kari cowered in fear figuring these digimon would now kill her.

‘’Please! Don’t hurt me!’’ Kari begged.

‘’You will now become our queen.’’ Dragomon told her.

Kari tried to run but the dark ones held their tight grip on her arms. Gatomon suddenly appeared out of the darkness of a nearby corner.

‘’Gatomon? Help me!’’ Kari yelled.

Gatomon took out a black spore from her pocket.

‘’Just let go Kari. They helped me see the light. Now you will too.’’ Gatomon spoke.

‘’What!? Gatomon it’s me!’’ Kari tried to reason.

Kari gasped as Gatomon came running forward and jumped towards her. She shoved the spore through the side of her neck taking immediate control of her body and mind. The dark ones let go. Kari stood up on her own; her eyes were bright red. She knelt down and picked up her digimon.

‘’Nothing will stand in our way now.’’ Kari said.
