Chapter 12 – Overcome

Silence. Tai knelt down beside the

to the laughter of their pursuer, watching the world around him switch to the
side of darkness. Then he got bored and
decided to try and help the others wake Sora and TK up. Biyomon had done everything in her power to
try and revive Sora, as Patamon had tried for TK. Nothing had worked: cold water; berries; garbagemon. They were out completely
”Sora? Why won’t you wake up? It’s not
safe for you to just lie there.
Tai? Any luck with TK?” Biyomon
felt crestfallen and very upset. She
had always had a special bond with Sora, and if anything had happened to her,
Biyomon was always there to protect her.
Only this time, she didn’t. She
couldn’t – Legacimon was far too powerful.
But so was Myotismon, and that didn’t stop her. Truth was, she was scared. She had seen how effortlessly he had
destroyed Cody, Kenta, even the sovereign.

”Nothing over here Biyomon. Patamon?”
Tai turned around, “Take Biyomon and go get some food or something. Help Agumon find shelter or something. I’ll continue trying to wake these two up.”
”Right! Biyomon, I’m getting some food,
you coming?” Patamon called over to the long-faced Biyomon.
”But what about Sora?”
”Don’t worry. I’ll take care of
her. You know I will” Tai told
her. That didn’t make Biyomon feel any
better, but he was right. She did trust
him. With a simple nod, she left with
Patamon.

Alyfeadermon looked up as the triumphant leader of the Ring returned.
”Fellow Digimon! I have succeeded. The four sovereigns are destroyed, and the
rest of the children are currently split up.
We have time to concentrate our efforts on digivolving. You must digivolve to Ultimate!” Legacimon
stood in his dark glory and gave his speech.
”We are ready with the other crests now.
We shall start the procedure soon” Quandamon told the Ring.
”Why wait? Why not do it now?” Blademon asked.
”Because, dumbass, we gotta set the equipment up first” Alyfeadermon hit
Blademon round the head. Blademon
replied with a right-hook to Alyfeadermon’s jaw.
”ENOUGH! I shall not have dissention amongst the Ring. We work together, otherwise, all is lost”
Legacimon thundered. The two rebelling
Digimon took their places and prepared to perform the procedure.

”T..Tai?” Sora stirred as Tai looked down.
”Sora! You’re awake. How do you feel?”
”Like someone sat on my face and shat.
I feel awful. Where’s Biyomon?”
”She’s off to find us some food.”
Sora’s vision came into focus, and the fear struck her once again as the
reality of the situation hit her.
“Where is everyone else? Matt? TK? Mimi?

”I’ll explain later, but I think you need to rest and relax for a bit before we
do anything. TK still hasn’t woken up
yet, I want to try and wake him” Tai looked at her. She looked groggy, and still not quite with it. She wasn’t ready for the truth. Not yet.

”Patamon! Biyomon” Agumon shouted from a cave.
”Agumon. You found some shelter then?”
Patamon called back.
”Yeah. It’s perfect, it’s deep,
long. It’s just what we need. Is Tai OK? Has Sora and TK woken up yet?”
”Not yet” Biymon said softly.
”What’s wrong?” Agumon asked her.
”It’s nothing. Don’t worry” She
replied. She wasn’t about to tell him
that she’s a coward and that she felt Sora would be fine if it wasn’t for her.
“I’m gonna go find some food, I know of some good berries around here. You two stay here, I’ll be fine.” Patamon announced, and without any further ado, he flew off.
“C’mon Biymon. What’s wrong?” Agumon asked once again.
”I told you, it’s nothing. There is
nothing wrong with me.”
”Then why the long face? Surely there
must be…mmmph…” Agumon was pushed back over onto his back, as Biyomon pressed
her beak onto Agumon’s mouth.
”This outta shut him up. Male’s seem
to lose interest in everything once they’ve shot their load. I should know, I’ve watched Sora do the same
to matt many times” Biyomon thought.

at the screen. It was flashing the
words DVL ACTIVE.
”I understand. Remember what Azulongmon
said before we all split up? The D-Units need to get used to us. Digivolving to champion was never too
difficult. It’s the higher levels we
need help with. I think you guys can
digivolve” Tai lifted his digivice and it began to glow. Agumon felt the warmth of the glow and began
to glow himself.
”AGUMON, DIGIVOLVE TO………… GREYMON”
”BIYOMON, DIGIVOLVE TO…………. BIRDRAMON”
”PATAMON, DIGIVOLVE TO…………… ANGEMON”
The three Digimon stood in their champion forms.
”Finally, something has gone right for once” Sora told herself.

”It is ready” Megamon announced.
”Let us start the operation” Quandamon said.
”I can sense a new power from the hills.
That Azulongmon has already started the rebellion against us” Legacimon
boomed. The dark light from the crests
started to glow the black light and shone directly into the D-Reapers.
”How can you be so sure?” Toximon questioned.
”They… a few, have digivolved to the champion level. It is imperative that these crests are used as soon as possible.”
The black light died down and the dark crests were gone.
”Lets see if they work. Activate your
crests my Ring of Six” Legacimon ordered.
”ALYFEADERMON, DIGIVOLVE TO…… MEGAFEADERMON.”
”TOXIMON, DIGIVOLVE TO…… DYSEEZAMON”
”BLADEMON, DIGIVOLVE TO…… SHARPNAMON”
”QUANDAMON, DIGIVOLVE TO…… JUJITAMON”
”MEGAMON, DIGIVOVLE TO…… GIGAMON”
“Excellent. Ultimate level. They do not stand a chance” Legacimon saw his new level of Digimon council. “At the ultimate level, we are invincible, but I still have one final method of digivolution to gift you. And I have the power right here with me”
