          “Are we that boring?” Kari walked up to Izzy. “I know it is kind of wild, I do have a bit of headache.” Kari fumbled in her pocket, and pulled out a small vial of children’s aspirin. Kari quickly dry swallowed two pills as she approached Izzy.

          Izzy looked up. “Sorry Kari. I was wandering, and found this place.”

          “And you had to check it out.” Kari laughed. “I think curiosity would have been a better crest for you.”

          “You know me, can’t leave any puzzle unsolved.” Izzy typed on the screen, bringing up what he deciphered so far. “But maybe you can help.  This make any sense to you?”

          “And the one of light shall save herself in the past, and shall be brought back by the word of wisdom.” Kari read over Izzy’s shoulder. “I don’t know Izzy, every time one of these prophesy things show up something bad happens.” Kari walked up to the cavern wall, and began running her hand over the symbols. Just meaningless scribble to her, except…. Kari noticed in the center of the wall, a very familiar symbol. The crest of light. Kari unconsciously moved to touch it.

          “I know, but I think it’s better if we knew about it before it happens.”  Izzy was talking, not noticing Kari wasn’t listening. “The one of light….” Izzy’s mind raced. “Kari!” Izzy looked up, just in time to see Kari touch the symbol of light. “No!” The cavern was filled with a flash of light, and then what Izzy feared most happened. Kari was gone.

 

 

 

          “Ah, now what?” Kari sighed as she regained her senses. She looked around. “At least I am in the digital world.” Kari looked around, in the streets filled with buildings and monuments from all over the world. “Boy this looks familiar…” Kari rubbed her head. “If I didn’t know better I’d swear…”

          “Freeze Digidestined!” Kari turned around, straight into the nose barrel of a Tankmon. “Lord Machinedramon has ordered your destruction!”

          (Machinedramon!) Kari’s inner voice screamed. (That code of Izzy’s sent me straight through time!) Kari’s mind raced. Tankmon weren’t the smartest of digimon. “You fool. I am a Bakemon! I am disguised as one of the digi destined in order to capture the one called Tai!”

          Tankmon blinked, rubbing his metal hair. “Oh yeah. That sick girl.  You’ve got the body all wrong now that I'm taking a good look. She is much shorter and younger, and the clothes are different.”

          Kari smiled. All gun no brains. “Really? I have to practice my shape shifting abilities. Please do not inform Lord Machinedramon of my incompliance, and I will not inform him of you own mistake. Now we must continue the hunt!”

          “Certainly we will not fail!” Tankmon rolled off.

          Kari couldn’t help but smile. She knew for a fact he and Machinedramon would fail. But she might still be killed when Machinedramon orders the city destroyed. She would need a safe place until she figured a way out. Kari looked up in the distance. There, on top of a green hill, was a large mansion on top. Kari recognized the place, although barely considering the last time she saw it she was in a fever. "I know this violates a bunch of temporal laws and whatever, but.." Kari could hear the explosions up the street. “I don’t really have a choice.”

 

 

          Kari02 snuck down the halls, hoping no one saw here enter the building. Luckily, the viral digimon were searching for Tai and Izzy right now, leaving the relative area bare except for that one Tankmon.           “I know but if she doesn’t get medication soon…” Gatomon shivered a little. “But all we can let her do now is rest.”

          “You’re right.” Patamon followed Gatomon as they left. Kari02 watched as the two digimon disappeared, wanting to assure Gatomon she’d be all right, but knowing she couldn’t. Kari02 looked back to the door Gatomon and Patamon came out of. An overwhelming urge to see herself filled her. She knew she shouldn’t, but she had to check. Kari02 looked back down, making sure the halls were clear, and quietly sneaked to the bedroom door. She opened the door with a squeak, and snuck inside shutting the door.  Kari02 looked in the room.           Kari02 brushed her pocket, feeling the pills. “The one of light shall save herself.” Kari repeated the prophecy. “That dream I had…” Kari02 pulled out some children’s aspirin. “Wasn’t a dream. I saved my own life.”  Kari02 looked at the bottle, finding that they did indeed help fevers.

          Kari01 coughed. Kari02 rubbed Kari01’s head, and tilted her head back. She took a couple of the children’s aspirin, and placed them under Kari01’s tongue. Kari01 coughed, instinctively dry swallowing the pills.   KAri02 made sure that her young counterpart didn’t choke on the pills, and lay the young girl back on the bed gently. Kari01 coughed a bit more, and moaned. Kari02 sat there for a while, but she could swear that Kari01 was getting better.           “Wait!” Sora called back, stopping Kari. “When will I see you again?”

          “But…we did.” Sora answered, even more confused.

          Kari02 ran out of the room, and ran down the hallway and hid in an empty room, thinking to herself. “Now what?” Kari thought, when suddenly, a flash of light filled her eyes, shutting out the world around her.

 

 

 

          “Come on!” Izzy shouted. The world had become oblivious around him, the party behind him a distant memory. His fingers flew like magic as row after row of code appeared on the screen. “Come ON!” Izzy was panicking Kari was lost…somewhere. Izzy began to sweat. “Ok Ok… read the prophecy again.” Izzy calmed down. “And the one of light shall save herself in the past, and shall be brought back by the word of wisdom.” Izzy reread. “Word of wisdom…” Izzy fumbled his digivice nervously. He then scanned the walls again. There was the crest of light symbol. And next to that…was the crest of knowledge. “And that’s me!” Izzy went up, and pressed his hand on the carved symbol. "Work" Izzy ordered, although nothing happened. “Work!” Izzy shouted again. “I’m missing something…” Izzy talked to himself. “Word of wisdom.” Izzy repeated, then smiled.  “PRODIGIOUS!” Izzy shouted.

          The cavern filled again with another familiar flash of light. The force knocked Izzy back. When he blinked his eyes, there was Kari. “Whoa…” Kari stumbled.

          “Kari!” Izzy jumped of the ground, giving Kari a big hug. “You had me worried! What happened to you?!”

          Kari shook her head. “Just like the prophecy said. I saved myself.”

          For once, Izzy was confused. “Pardon?”

          Kari smiled. “I’ll explain later. But first I have to talk to some one.”

          Izzy picked up his computer. “If you say so. But I hope you’ll explain this all to me later.”

          Kari smiled and nodded. “I will.” Kari walked out of the cavern with Izzy, and walked back to the party. The celebration was still in full swing, but Kari took no notice, and went straight to the one she was looking for.

          Sora and Biyomon were sitting on a log, chatting and eating. Sora looked up, and saw Kari coming towards her. “Biyomon?”

          “Yes Sora?” Biyomon answered with her mouth full.

          Kari sat own on the log next to Sora. “Could you leave us for a moment?” Sora looked at Kari. “We need to talk.”

          Biyomon swallowed her food and flew up. “Sure thing Sora.”  Biyomon realized that sometimes humans need to be alone. She flew off, deciding to join the other digimon who were ravaging the food.

          Sora and Kari just sat with one another for a while, not talking. Sora finally turned to Kari. “We finally defeated Myotismon.” Sora sighed. “I was wondering when he’d show his face.”

          “You knew all along?” Kari replied stunned.

          “Of course I did.” Sora looked to the skies. “You told me.”

          Kari looked back at Sora. Sora returned the gaze. The girls looked at each other for a bit, then burst out laughing. "Come on." Kari finally replied.  “Let’s join the party.”
