Halo: Data Reconstruction (Yaoi)

Cappell had thankfully not heard yet what Arbiter had realised, too busy listening to GMSG's transmition. Turning his head slightly, he dashed out of the door and into the hallway, heading towards the landing platform. He could not remember much, but a burning hatred for these brutes only grew srtonger as he could feel the voices and screams in his head grow louder when he saw them.

"Kid! Stop!" yelled Johnson, heading towards the door but by the time he was into the hallway, Cappell was nowhere to be seen. "Damn it, Chief, go after him, we'll hold down the fort here to any incoming brutes, signal us when it's all clear."

Cappell continued to charge forward, mindlessly cutting down any of the brutes that got in his way, feeling their throats slicing against his blade as he continued to charge forward and into the open landing platform. He could see the brutes, all firing at the Pelicon, until they noticed the boy and suddenly began to fire at him.

Cappell didn't care anymore, taking all the risks as his agile body shot to the side, avoding the rocket launcher, jumping in the air and landing in front of the brute as he cut the creature down in half, jumping forward in a mad dash as brute after brute's life ended under his blade.

"Come with me." commanded Chief to GMSG, who was only too happy to do it. The pair chased off after the boy, taking cover behind some concrete barriers and using their battle rifles to draw the brutes fire away from Cappell.

"Kid get the hell outa there!" called GMSG. "We can handle this!"

Arbiter sat down, resting his head in his hands. What had he done to this poor child, as a result of his duty? How many more humans were traumatized from the covenant's religious xenophobia?

Sky wanted to help, but the sergeant's orders were to hold the fort, and Sky wasn't one to disobey orders. Still, he hoped that they could do something to help Chief and GMSG from where they were. But maybe he could! Sky knelt down by one of the less damaged robot sentries and opening the control panel in the back he began to configure the programming, if he could get it to identify brutes as enemies, and only brutes, perhaps these robots could even out the numbers.

Lance set up his rifle, keeping a lookout for incoming brutes. If any of them entered his field of vision then BAM! They wouldn't last long.
Just cos' I'm an angel doesn't mean I play by the rules :)
